The media heavily covered the loss of 300 or so IBM jobs, but hasn't made the case that the loss of state jobs (with good pay, benefits, etc.) will also add to the downward spiral of the economy. At this time in the recession, the economy needs every job it can get. Cutting the state budget and 600 or so jobs will have a further dampening effect on the Vermont economy.
